So, another doc appt today.

Ultrasound shows there's not more or less fluid.

NST's haven't been quite as reassuring as they had hoped, not emergency scary, but some-what concerning.

Luckily again last minute, after some apple juice and a lot of shaking (literally) she showed them what they wanted to see. I was getting worried again.

The doc said that at this point there is no point in stopping my labor if I were to go in to labor - because the risk of not stopping the labor isn't greater than allowing the pregnancy to continue on. (even though I'm only 35 1/2 weeks)

He said he wouldn't be surprised if I go in to labor before my c-section, and if I do, he won't allow me to do a VBAC.

It would be too risky with everything going on. So, if I do end up going in, thinking I'm in labor - and they have reason to suspect I may be in labor as well - I will have an "emergency" c-section right then.

So I'm kind of a sitting duck for the next 16 days. But at least it's only 16 days!

He's walkin'!

My boy is a walkin' fool!
He is walking about 90% of the time now.

Pregnancy related and maybe too much information:

I went for my NST today - it wasn't looking good at first.
I had to sit on the monitor for an hour, and she wasn't showing what they wanted to see on the monitors...
I was down to the last 20 minutes before they made a decision on "what to do" (not sure what they would have done)
But then she showed them what they wanted last minute! Whew - I was getting nervous!
I was in a false labor on the monitors, and she was handling the contractions really well - which is good.
They got a little concerned about the regularity of my contractions though, and decided to check me.
And guess what! I am ripe and 2cm dilated!
I almost couldn't believe it - I haven't been doing anything on purpose to get things going, and already 2cm!
Oh, and I lost part of my "plug" too!
She said that she wants me to come in right away if things got painful or closer together because it could be any time!
They don't want me getting too far with out an emergency-C - and she predicts it'd be a quick labor this time!
YAH YAH! I'm so ready.

Also, walked the mall a little bit today. And couldn't resist the $4.99 pajama bottoms at Old Navy! I got 4 pair!
For those of you who don't know, I literally live in pajama bottoms, and was so thrilled to see such a wonderful sale!

Well, that's all for now :)

Will she be early?

So, I got a phone call from the doc today.
They are concerned about me going in to labor early - and say they'd like me to be sensitive to that.
They are also concerned about the fluid causing the baby distress...
So I have to go in for NST's and checks every 5-6 days now.
A total pain in the butt when you have 1 car, you watch kids, and your husband has to leave work for every appt.
But, if it's to keep the baby safe - of course I'll do it.

If any of the next four NST's come out even the least bit negative I will have an emergency C-section.
If not we're still scheduled for the 11th.
So here's to that! The next 23 days should be interesting and very busy!

I have:
2 photo shoots,
2 Designs to finish,
3 photo sessions to edit, and print
4 NSt's
3 OB appts
Plus babysitting everyday! up until my Amnio/C-section!

Not to mention getting stuff ready for this baby - we have nothing done!

A love I can only give him.

So, I've anxiously been awaiting to hear what the Doc had to say at my appointment today...
And of course, I didn't get much.
He literally said "your situation is sufficiently complicated enough, that I'd have to talk to MFM before I answer those questions"...... AH! (I had a million)

But - He is going to have a meeting with them about my "situation" tomorrow and hopefully call me by Wednesday at the latest to give me some more information.

We did get a lot of talking done about the more minimal situations, ie: pain, sleeplessness, breathing issues.
I've been given a tranquilizer - not joking - in a very small dose to take every day to loosen my muscles so I"m not cramped up all day, and to calm the braxton hicks; and apparently this should help me sleep and breathe better too.

We'll see!
I'm willing to try anything right about now.

One fun thing I got to do today was buy Evie's coming home outfit!!!
TWO actually! and SHOES!!!
One a little smaller and one a little bigger - cause you never know!
I'm known to birth some big babies, so for all I know she might come out a toddler! ;)
Karl and I were dying over every single cute dress and baby shoes there were....
We're so ready. (emotionally)
I do have to say there is something that this little girl has, that no other baby could,
that has made Karl in to a big pile of love-mush.... it's so cute!
I can't wait to see him, see her, for the first time.
I love that only I can give that to him!

Crazy Pregnancy!

Okay my life is officially the craziest it's ever been.

So, I go in for an ultrasound earlier this week and here's what comes of that:
1. She's re-confirmed as a girl. that's good!
2. Anatomically everything is looking great. She's head down and low.
3. Her cord is over her shoulder - not necessarily good or bad.
4. She has a TON of hair - it was floating in the amniotic fluid! Yay!
5. She's swallowing and breathing regularly - good sign of lung maturity (or at least getting there).
6. She's measuring ahead of course, at 6 POUNDS 1 OUNCE!!!! (avg. baby at this time is 4.5lbs) So that means she has macrosomia (fancy word for way too big)
7. My fluid levels are way high. my AFI is 37. Normal is 15-17. A little high is up to 24. Anything over 30 is seriously high. So that means that I am diagnosed with polyhydramnios, a severe case.
So I ask what exactly that all means and I get all kinds of "beat around the bush" answers, and "I am not a doctor, so I can't really say" responses from the US tech. I thought I had an appointment with the OB after, but I didn't. But, I'm concerned so I ask to speak to a doctor. But, they're all too busy... UGH!
So, I have to wait until Monday.

So, the next day I have to go in to the doctors office because of breathing problems. I've been complaining for about 3 weeks now that I seriously can not breathe and feel like I'm going to pass out all the time. They brush it off as "part of pregnancy". So, now that I'm diagnosed with too much fluid all the sudden they care - and they send me over to the hospital for testing. (Mind you I had to leave during the middle of the day for this, so Karl had to come home from work to watch the kids that I babysit) I sit in the hospital for 3-4 hours, they do all kinds of tests. Here's what comes of that:

1. I do not have gestational diabetes for sure. I do not have anemia. I have hypoglycemia.
2. I have dangerously LOW blood pressure.
3. The baby is doing fine, biophysical profile, and NST are great.
4. I am having "uterine irritations" and contractions due to my uterus being over-distended. (I am to look out for regular contractions, leakage, or full on water breakage. I am also to pay attention to any bleeding especially carefully. I guess that I am at risk for Pre-Term Labor and uterine rupture because I'm just "too full" and my uterus being previously scarred might not be able to handle it.)
5. I have been diagnosed with a condition called "air hungry". Hence why I keep feeling like I can't breathe. How it works is that since the baby is so big, and I am at where I'm at in my pregnancy my progesterone levels are super high. That combined with the fact that my uterus is literally causing my lungs to get squished - it's tripping a sensor in my brain that makes my body react like it's not breathing, even though it is. Hence the dizziness, gasping for air, etc. There is nothing at all they can do for me.

So, I ask what can be done for my symptoms: NOTHING! AAAHH!

I ask what all this means, if she could give me more information, if there was anything at all I can do to be more comfortable or keep my fluid from getting higher, or her from growing unnecessarily big....

I hate this!
So that's what I'm to sit with thinking about over the weekend until Monday afternoon where I'll be lucky to get some answers!
I am so sick of being pregnant!

(Not because I can't handle it but because I hate not being in control and knowing what's going on)

On the other hand, we got a 4D ultrasound. My girl is so beautiful!
Actually it's crazy how much she looks like Ethan!

stretch marks...

All this time with no added stretch-marks
(still sporting some from Ethan)....
Only 30 days to go! AND BAM! Here they come!
Dang it!
But only 30 days to go! Hallelujah!
I have an ultrasound tomorrow, where they'll probably tell me she's 25 pounds already.
Or at least that's how I'm starting to feel.
Karl said something along the lines of "...your daughter" to me today, and it totally tripped me out.
I am about to have a daughter!?
I'm so not ready!
Only 4 weekends left to go until we meet her, and we have NOTHING done!
